“ Shochyaashochyasi kam shochyam deenam deenanukampase
Kasya Ko Va Nu Shochyosthi
Dehesminbudbudopame”
Only if those who
lectureaabout philosophy have true wisdom the audience listening to such
lectures will attain the same. Else Vedantha will remain only in the books. Sri
Suka preached Philosophy to Parikshith. He was to die in 7 days. Realising that
this life is temporary Suka preached Vedantha to Parikshith. Bharathayogi
preached Gnana to Rahuugana. Rahugana was on his way to listen to the upadesha
of Kapila Vasudeva. So he was a nuththamaadhikari. Barathayogi preached
philosophy not to those who came to kill him at the Kali temple but to the
rightly deserving Rahuugana. Krishna taught Udhdhva the depth of philosophy.
Krishna also preached Arjuna Vedantha to restore his peace of mind. So can we
give many examples like Kapila Vasudeva- Devahuthi Bheeshma- Dharamputra
Yagnavalkya-Janaka etc.
Tara was a mahapathivratha and a wise woman. She knew darma.Hence she
deserved to listen to Vedantha. Vali had breathed his last. Tara wept and
lamented a lot. Vedantha relieves suffering but it depends on each person’s
maturity. Hence Rama ordered Hanuman to console her. Aanjaneya swami himself
was a Vedanthi. He advised her “ The body is temporary. It is like a bubble on
a lotus leaf. It might burst any time. So is this body. Aathma is immortal. The
jeevan thinks of it as badda ( tied up) because of maya. Hence this maya has to
be destroyed by the grace of guru. One has to realise that we are but the
aathmaswarupa. Only then we shall enjoy eternal happiness.
