Sri rama on Ayodhya streets. Valmiki describes the grandeur. The streets are flooded with people.. Their eyes long for Rama’s darshan. Sri rama is seated on a golden chariot.. Sumantra is the charioteer.. The chariot flots on the ocean of people. Lakshmana sways the chamaram ( fan) on one hand and holds the umbrella in the other hand.. A dynamic grand Sri Rama is seated on the chariot. The people of Ayodhya are unable to take back their glance and heart fixed on this lovely Rama. Sri rama is gone. Yet the people are entranced and feel as if He is there again. Kamban follows the footsteps of Valmiki and describes as” Thol kandar Thole kandar”- where the people of Mithila experience His enticing beauty. Sri Rama glanced at each and every one, though they were lakhs of people assembled. One who did not see Rama or was unseen by Rama leads a life in vain.
However we need not regret that Valmiki has written so. Even though we are not on Ayodhya streets, Sri Rama has definitely seen us.. Else it is impossible to get satsangh.
