April 4th to 12th witnessed a great grand event at Bangalore Sri Akkamahadevi saamuhika Bhavan kalyanamandapam. It was a sapthaham by Sri Hariji on behalf of RBs religious Association, Rajajinagar.On April 4th at about 3.00p.m there was a grand reception for Sri Hari Anna. A child beautifully dressed up as Lord Krishna handed over the Bhagavatham dancing gracefully. It was a sight indeed. That day Sri Hari Anna delivered the lecture on Mahathmayam. Every day there was parayanam from morning
Sri Bhodendral, Iyyaval and Sadguru swamigal are the Bhjana sampradaya trinity acharyas. Bodendral and Iyyaval did Nama siddhantham. Sadguru swamigal whereas framed the now existing Bhajana paddathi. It was he who established the tradition of singing ashtapadis and concluding with the grand Radha kalyanam. Whole of his life he lived by Unchavruthi. He traveled to every village, every city to spread the awareness of the Divine name.He gave the rama nama to everyone. His birth was almost a hundred years after Bodendral. He visited Govindapuram and discovered the then hidden adishtanam of Bodendral by the power of his Ramanama upasana. He is the aparavatharam of ramaavatharam. His mutt now exists at Marudanallur. It is near Kumbakonam. His shishya parampara now occupy the peetam. Whoever come in this parampara is referred to as Sadguruswamigal. The Sadguru swamigal at present blessed HariAnna on the occasion of his Acharyaabhishegam. On April 2nd at Sadguru swamigal mutt during the Ramanavami uthsavam Sri Hari Anna and Vishakha manni gave lectures on Rama nama mahima and Ramajananam respectively. It was fully charged with devotion as it was filled with the sanctity of Sadguru Swamigal. Sri Hari Anna said: “ It is Sadguru Swamigal who showed Bodendral to the present world. We are grateful to him.”
Sadguru Swamigal ( at present) too spoke on him and bleseed Hari Anna and Vishakha Manni to continue their noble service.
R.R Sabha at Trichy witnessed a huge gathering after very many long years. It was the harikatha on Shabari Moksham by Srimathi Vishakha Hari on March 21st. She sang many rare songs of Thyagaraja Swami portraying the greatness of satsangh, nama and guru. It was interspersed by the quotes of Sri Anna and the didndis and sakis written by Sri Anna. The harikatha was both educative and enjoyable to young and old alike.
