Here Lord narasimha shines in 9 forms in 9hill caves.1) One such hillock is called garudachalam. Long before Garuda did penance here to free his mother from bondage of slavery. Those who worship Narasimha in this hill will get high posts. This Narasimha is called Garuda Narasimha 2) VarahaNarasimha atop Vedadri bestows lost kingdoms and wealth to his devotees. There is teertha by name Lakshmi teertha. It is said that Lord Narasimha at the banks of this teertha pacified Lordess Lakshmi who was fearing his devastating looks.
3)Yet another Narasimha is malolaNarasimha who can turn a pauper into a king. 4)Brahma worshipped another Narasimha by name Yogananda and obtained his lost Brahmapattam. It is said that those worshipping this narasimha will get concentration power. 5) A Narasimha under the Karanjavruksham was worshipped by one Gobilar who was highly confused though learned. He attined Brahmasakshathkaram under this tree. This narasimha is called KaranjaNarasimha. 6) A Narasimha moorthy in Chakravatam was extolled by HaHa an HuHu Gandharvas. They were bestowed with lovely voices and became evry famous Gandharvas.- Chatravata Narasimhan thusbestows the power to sing and speak well. 7) BargavaNarasimha was praised by vasishta and obtained the saptharishi stahna. It is said the sage Bargava worshipped this Nrasimha here at the banks of Bhargavateertha. 8) Brahmarishis obtained mukthi by worshipping JvalaNarasimha. It is a practice to light lamps here. The 9th Narasimha is PavanaNarasaimha at the banks of Pavanateertha. He was once worshipped by Bharadwaja.
Thus there are 9 Narasimhas at Ahobilam. The world is full of Narasimha swamis. Prahlada looked at Narasimha even in a pillar. Can we name a place devoid of Narasimha? This Kshetra signifies this aspect.
