SriDevi is the embodiment of compassion. She never leaves the Lord even for a second.  Her abode is the bosom of the Lord. If we ask a person whether he has compassion, we do not ask him whether his head has mercy, or his hands or legs possess pity. We only say “ Doesnt your hear ever have compassion? The heart is the place for compassion. SriDevi always resides in the Lord’s heart. Whenever he incarnates she too comes along and shows the world the path of dharma. She came as Sita during the Ramaavathara. She showed the world the meaning of chastity.
When Rama went to the forest she too went along. When he entered Dandakaarnaya, the sages surrendered at his feet and asked rama to protect them from Kara, Dooshana and other rakshasas. Immediately Rama pledged to kill the rakshasas. Seetha sid “ i do not think the rakshasas are at fault. Hence please do not kill them. You are full of virtues like truth, righteousness, etc. The sages have controlled their senses. They can tolerate anything.. I know how great a person you are. The rakshasas have not troubled us at all. Hence it is inappropriate to go for war with the rakshasa.

Rama did not get angry hearing these words. He said , “ You are full of compassion. Hence the blunder of the rakshasas is not felt by you. These rakshasas have eaten hundreds of sages and tormented them. How could I be calm? The purpose of me holding this Kodanda in hand is to protect the good and destroy the evil. Iam prepared to even sacrifice my life, or even you and Lakshmana for the sake of the sadhus. Never will I give up my oath to protect them”, he concluded.
